SEMDOK HARNESS 1.0.0 FOR LINUX
==============================

Semdok Harness is an AI agent for coding and everyday tasks, powered by the
Semdok API. On Linux it runs in your web browser: a small background program
starts on your computer and the Semdok Harness interface opens in a browser tab.
Everything it needs (Node.js, Python with numpy, pandas, python-pptx,
python-docx and openpyxl) is included, so there is nothing else to install.

REQUIREMENTS
  - 64-bit Linux with glibc 2.28 or newer: Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 10+,
    Linux Mint 20+, Fedora 29+, RHEL / Rocky / AlmaLinux 8+, openSUSE Leap 15.3+
  - Download semdok-harness-1.0.0-linux-x64 for Intel/AMD computers and
semdok-harness-1.0.0-linux-arm64 for ARM computers. Run "uname -m" if you are
    not sure: x86_64 means x64, aarch64 means arm64.
  - A web browser (Firefox, Chrome, Chromium, Edge...)
  - About 700 MB of free disk space

INSTALL
  1. Extract the download, for example into your home folder:
       tar -xzf semdok-harness-1.0.0-linux-x64.tar.gz -C ~
  2. Add it to your app menu:
       ~/semdok-harness-1.0.0-linux-x64/install.sh
  3. Open "Semdok Harness" from your app menu, or run: semdok-harness

Keep the extracted folder where it is: the menu entry starts Semdok Harness
from there. No administrator (sudo) rights are needed.

ADD YOUR SEMDOK API KEY
  1. Get your API key from https://console.semdok.com
  2. The first time Semdok Harness opens, click Continue on the preview notice.
The "Connect Semdok" window then asks for your key: paste it and click
     "Save and continue".
  3. To add or change the key later, click More (bottom-left) and choose
"Add Semdok API key", or go to More > Settings > Models.
Never share your API key or post it publicly.

USING IT
  - From the app menu, Semdok Harness runs in the background. Opening it again
brings the browser tab back. To quit, right-click the menu icon and choose
"Quit Semdok Harness", or run: semdok-harness --stop
  - From a terminal, run "semdok-harness" and keep the terminal open; press
Ctrl+C to quit. Use "semdok-harness --no-open" to only print the address.
  - Your settings and sessions are stored in ~/.dsh
  - Logs from menu launches: ~/.dsh/logs/semdok-harness-linux.log

UNINSTALL
Run ./uninstall.sh in this folder, then delete the folder.
Delete ~/.dsh as well if you also want to remove your settings and sessions.

TROUBLESHOOTING
  - "cannot execute binary file": you downloaded the wrong architecture.
  - "no sandbox backend is usable on this host": Semdok Harness runs commands in
a sandbox, which needs bubblewrap or a recent kernel with Landlock. Install
bubblewrap (sudo apt install bubblewrap, or sudo dnf install bubblewrap),
then start Semdok Harness again. install.sh tells you if this is needed.
  - The browser does not open: copy the address printed in the terminal into
your browser, or set the BROWSER variable, e.g. BROWSER=firefox semdok-harness
  - Opened the address in another browser profile? Use the full address,
including the ?token=... part, which signs your browser in.
